Chardonnay from the close-planted 1.5-metre block at Tiers Vineyard is hand harvested, chilled and whole-fruit pressed. The juice ferments in French oak barriques, including a portion of new wood, before measured maturation.
造り・製法
Tiers Vineyardの列間1.5メートルで密植した区画からChardonnayを手摘みし、冷却して全房圧搾します。新樽を一部含むフレンチオーク樽で発酵し、節度を保って育成します。
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
French Bernard clones and close spacing make the 1.5M block ripen earlier and taste fuller than the original Tiers old-vine block. It has been bottled separately to show that contrast within one vineyard.
